The South Asia Regional SBCC Conversation is hosted by a consortium of global partners including the BBC Media Action, Breakthrough, Centre for Communication and Change-India (CCC-I), Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs and UNICEF, supported by a network of organisations and partners in the India SBCC Alliance.

Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) believes in the power of communication to save lives by empowering people to adopt healthy behaviors for themselves, their families and their communities across the globe. Based at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and building on more than 30 years of experience, innovation and research, CCP has increased uptake of modern contraception, boosted the number of people tested and treated for HIV, given more children the opportunity to sleep under mosquito nets across Africa and Asia to improve health and economies across the world. These successes in social and behavior change stems from our reliance on proven behavioral science interventions. To learn more, visit: ccp.jhu.edu

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up. To learn more, visit: www.unicef.org

BBC Media Action is the BBC’s international development organisation, and we believe in the power of media and communication for good. We work in more than 20 countries around the world, supporting the independent media essential to democracy and development. Last year, our projects and programmes reached more than 130 million people facing poverty, inequality and insecurity with information they could trust, helping to improve health, bridge divides, challenge prejudice, and save and change lives. We follow the editorial standards and values of the BBC, but we rely on funding from donors and partners to carry out our work. To learn more, visit: bbcmediaaction.org.

Breakthrough is a global human rights organization driving the culture change we need to build a world in which all people live with dignity, equality, and respect. We do this using a potent mix of media, arts, and tech with an intersectional feminist approach. To learn more, visit: letsbreakthrough.org

Center for Communication and Change-India is the sister organization of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP), which is part of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a globally recognized premier health institution. CCC-I was registered in India in 2012 as a trust to ensure the availability of quality social and behaviour change (SBC) expertise in the country and build local capacity for SBC more comprehensively. The sister organization status allows CCC-I to be locally relevant while still drawing from CCP’s formidable international experience and expertise. To learn more, visit: https://www.ccci.org.in/
