The SBCC Summit will be hosted by a consortium of international and local partners including the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, UNICEF, Soul City Institute for Social Justice, Digital Green, Social Change Factory, Puntos de Encuentro, the American University of Beirut Center for Public Health Practice and Real Travel Services.

Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) believes in the power of communication to save lives by empowering people to adopt healthy behaviors for themselves, their families and their communities across the globe. Based at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and building on more than 30 years of experience, innovation and research, CCP has increased uptake of modern contraception, boosted the number of people tested and treated for HIV, given more children the opportunity to sleep under mosquito nets across Africa and Asia to improve health and economies across the world. These successes in social and behavior change stems from our reliance on proven behavioral science interventions.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.

The Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), advances evidence-based public health practice in Lebanon and the region while enhancing the academic experience of students and faculty. It builds solid community partnerships and develops human capabilities to impact the health of populations. The Center nurtures the culture of collective responsibility, diversity, and social justice.

Soul City Institute for Social Justice is an intersectional feminist organization with the mission of ensuring that young womxn and girls enjoy substantive equality, with access to resources and opportunities that enable this. A South African NGO established in 1992, the Soul City Institute for Social Justice harnesses the power of the mass media to educate and empower people to make better choices about their health. Soul City has long been known for its television and radio series, shaping behaviour change through stories. In addition, the organisation develops advocacy campaigns combined with training and community mobilising.

Digital Green is a global development organization that empowers smallholder farmers to lift themselves out of poverty by harnessing the collective power of technology and grassroots-level partnerships. Digital Green join forces with governments, private agencies, and, most importantly, rural communities themselves to co-create digital solutions that are of the community and for the community. When farmers have the tools they need to connect with one another, they’re far more likely to apply what they’ve learned on their farms and in their households- improving their own livelihoods and those of others in their community, in a manner that’s nutrition-sensitive, climate-resilient, and inclusive.

Social Change Factory (SCF) is a civic leadership center that works for the empowerment, emancipation, engagement and progress of youth in Africa. To achieve this, we work with and for youth to address matters related to education, active citizenship and socio-economic inclusion. Through our programming and advocacy, we aim to change individuals and systems by developing and delivering youth-led and youth-focused programs and by creating platforms on which youth can share their thoughts, experiences, aspirations and ideas. Based in Dakar (Senegal), Social Change Factory has extended its operations to Burkina Faso, Chad, Gambia, Guinea, Mali and France.

Puntos de Encuentro (“Meeting Points”) is a Nicaraguan feminist communication for social change NGO that works throughout Central America for gender equality and human rights. Puntos’ strategy combines home-grown mass media edutainment combined with on-the ground education, organizing and movement building to promote “democracy on the streets, at home and in bed”, focusing sexual and reproductive rights, the prevention of the multiple manifestations of violence, and the democratization of political culture.

Real Travel Services is a corporate and business travel agency, operating in the MENA region. RTS combines expertise, high quality standards, powerful ideas and a creative team to make events planning unique, efficient and cost effective.
